Mandarin

In the spring of 2023, I began learning Mandarin as a hobby and quickly fell in love with it. Since then, I have been studying Mandarin as a second major. Currently, I am a recipient of the Chinese government scholarship for a full ride to Peking University as an exchange student.

Before Peking University, I advanced in Mandarin Chinese at twice the pace, skipping one level between each class every time I advanced. I also participated in the Languages for Business and Technology at the Georgia Tech Shenzhen Institute in the summer of 2024.

In the summer of 2025 I was awarded a full-ride scholarship—the Chinese government scholarship—to study at Peking University's School of Chinese as a Second Language, participating in the "high level" cohort. At Peking, I was the class leader for the level 13 class, as well as a judge for the School of Chinese as a Second Language speech competition. Further, I was a participant on 3 episodes of "中国美食大会" on CCTV4, viewed by millions of people.
